Anal itching in the rectum is in most cases caused by another disease – e.g. hemorrhoids, an anal fissure, some skin condition, or even diabetes or inflammatory rectal disease or cancer. However, itching may be present even without confirmation of another disease, very often arises e.g. due to excessive hygiene in the rectal area.
Other causes include various skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis, but sometimes as a result of taking certain types of drugs.
However, the exact cause and determination of the correct diagnosis can only be made by a proctologist and subsequently it also provides effective and reliable treatment.
Our clinic is located in the modern premises of the new STEIN 2 building in the Old Town, at the intersection of Legionárská and Krížná streets.
